Family TE Import and Export Checklist
Attention potential TE scholars! Do you need a checklist to help you navigate the Export and Import process?
It is important that families begin the TE scholarship process with the dependent's Tuition Exchange Liaison Officer. Don't know who your TE Liaison Officer is? Click here for an up-to-date listing. You need to make formal application for admission to the school(s) you are most interested in attending. Be sure to notify the schools where you apply that you are a potential TE scholar.
TE Member schools develop and manage their individual TE scholarship programs. You need to check with the schools you are interested in attending to be sure you are meeting their individual standards. Standards can include completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, maintaining Satisfactory Academic Progress, and recognize there are funding limits, typically eight (8) semesters or graduation whichever comes first. In general, TE scholarships trump other institutional scholarships and grant dollars. If you have specific questions regarding how other institutional scholarships and awards may affect you, contact Financial Aid at the school where you have questions.
Don't miss out by failing to ask questions! Remember the TE scholarship is a mutual award. Your export school may say yes, and the import school must also say yes. The TE scholarship is not an employee benefit. Your TE Liaison Officer is your best starting point.
