The Tuition Exchange Staff

The Tuition Exchange's goal is to help provide access to scholarships for higher education faculty and staff dependents. The mission is to promote higher education opportunities and assist in recruiting and retaining quality faculty, staff, and students. Our experienced staff coordinates the scholarship program for over 8500 applicants annually at more than 700 participating member institutions.

 

The TE team assists TE Liaison Officers (TELOs) with procedures and questions, directs students and families to the correct TELO, monitors exchange transactions, and recruits new members. TE Central provides training to ensure that TELOs at our member schools have the tools and knowledge to use all TE services efficiently and effectively.

 

Kristin R. Tichenor is President of Tuition Exchange following a distinguished career in enrollment management. She was the Senior Vice President at Wentworth Institute of Technology after serving as Vice President for Enrollment Management for several years. Before that, Kristin spent 20 years at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, eventually serving as Senior Vice President for Enrollment and Institutional Strategy for nine years and as Senior Advisor to the President during her final year. She is a graduate of Carleton College and received her Master of Arts degree in Education/Public Administration from Clark University. Kristin also earned her Doctor of Education (EdD) in Higher Education Management from the University of Pennsylvania.

 

Elizabeth (Liz) Rihl Lewinsky is Associate Vice President for Member Engagement. Liz previously spent 31 years working at Enrollment Management/Financial Aid, having served as Assistant Vice President for Financial Aid at Saint Joseph's University (Philadelphia) the last seven years, where she served as primary TELO, and, prior to that, as Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management (and previously as Director of Financial Aid/Director of Enrollment Management) at Arcadia University for 24 years. Liz received her B.S. in Secondary Education from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and has a Masters in English and a Masters in Education, both from Arcadia University. She is a NASFAA Certified Financial Aid Administrator (FAAC). 

 

Kristine Murphy Lev is the Associate Vice President for Finance and Operations for the Tuition Exchange. Kristine is responsible for the accounting and financial activities of Tuition Exchange. Kristine earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Villanova University, Villanova, PA, and her Master of Public Administration is from New York University, New York, NY. Before joining Tuition Exchange in 2004, Kristine spent 12 years in healthcare administration.  

 

Laura Savage is the Associate Director for Member Engagement.  Laura is a primary first contact for TELO's, particularly assisting new TELO's get trained in the TELO system. Laura assists with onboarding new member schools and with the development of content training. Before joining TE, Laura worked at Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia, most recently as Associate Director of Financial Aid. Laura earned her B.S. in Elementary Education from Chestnut Hill College and also has experience from the parent-side of the TE process, having had two children participate in the TE Program.

All TE staff work remotely.

Kristin is in Massachusetts, Liz and Laura are in Pennsylvania and Kristine is in Maryland.
